We really do have an extraordinary opportunity coming in 2020, which centres on the fusion of Saturn and Pluto’s energies in the sign of Capricorn. But not only are these planets conjunct in January of next year, but they are also conjunct their own South Nodes.

Pluto and Saturn have been within orb of conjunction for most of this year, and they will be in orb all of next year (so you might have felt this building for some time), but the aspect is exact on 12th January 2020 (UT).

I’ve seen the usual talk of political and governmental change, and even a bit of eco-activism squeezed into the mix by commentators, but truthfully, why be so banal over such a fabulous combination?

Seriously, this is very big. Not just Pluto with Saturn, in Saturn’s sign, but on the very tails of their own dragons, on their South Nodes.

Old, deep, remembered (and long forgotten), black, cold and speaking right to you if you’re listening. And then maybe it won’t be so cold, but what you have needed for a very long time.

This is an aspect which entails old, organic time. Not mental time, not human activity time, but organic time. The sort of time that is measured out when you physically die. When anything dies.

You would need to see where around 22 – 23° Capricorn is in your chart to get a better idea of how this might be manifesting for you, but it really is something.

Saturn makes this both human and individual. Pluto touches this with the underworld, and the gifts of divine abduction and compulsion, and all the rewards and losses of existence. Mine shaft, well, tunnel to the real otherworld. The South Nodes open gates to the immeasurably old.
